The Benefits of Membership

Ignatians are committed to producing quality amateur musical theatre in Brisbane.  Our members play a vital role in ensuring our continuing success and we value their knowledge, input and support.

Becoming a member of Ignatians is a great way to enjoy musical theatre and meet many new friends.  Our motto is ‘for the sheer fun of it’ and we trust you will embrace this philosophy should you choose to become involved with Ignatians.

Productions

As a member of Ignatians you are welcome to participate in any aspect of our productions.

Auditions

Members receive advance notification of auditions and are invited to attend a members-only information night to familiarise them with the production.  If two auditionees who present equal skills and talent are short-listed for the same role, preference will be given to a member over a non-member. 

Discounted Tickets

Members receive advance notification of upcoming productions and are able to purchase tickets at a special discount rate before they go on sale to the public.

Social Activities 

Ignatians is a great place to meet new friends.  In addition to the social events held during the running of our productions, Ignatians holds a number of larger social events during the year.

Newsletters

Regular editions of Ignews keep members informed about preparations for the current show, upcoming auditions, seminars and social events, members news, shows on around Brisbane and more.  All members are welcome to submit material for inclusion in Ignews.

Members Meetings

Ignatians hold three meetings per year for members including an Annual General Meeting where committee members are elected.  These meetings provide a forum to ensure the continual improvement and success of the Ignatians and offer members the opportunity to:

• Ask questions about any aspect of Ignatians operations
• Hear more about current productions and discuss issues arising
• Provide feedback about previous shows
• Offer suggestions for future shows
• Express an interest in joining the production team
